It was fun having to wait a year for another shot, and then getting it done, at least completing the hike and peaks like I wanted. With my recent Hut-to-Hut attempt, I've now done a Presi overnight (with a stop at Lakes (albeit a cold bench)), but it would be nice to do a calm and comfortable overnight one some day, but for you, start planning that Presi now, and go for it!DMOutdoorshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10646176191389908948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5335587057831518495.post-73833084750965229992014-07-16T09:39:55.083-04:002014-07-16T09:39:55.083-04:00Hi Karl, Thank you for reading my adventure! I stopped for almost an hour to cook a meal at the trail head, and then about 20 minutes on Jackson. Then another 30 minutes at least on Madison after I was already over 24 hours. I chose Jackson for the easy ups to the ridge after the first traverse. The mental game comes in there, because hiking down and then back up 4 miles Valley Way to Madison is tough.DMOutdoorshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10646176191389908948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5335587057831518495.post-79671623292477291552014-06-25T20:51:22.220-04:002014-06-25T20:51:22.220-04:00An incredible feat of endurance Dan!! I'll be happy if I can someday do a Presi traverse over the course of a couple of days with maybe an overnight stop at Lakes of the Clouds Hut.

Don
Donhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09952353487595261073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5335587057831518495.post-22567473345956676052014-06-16T13:01:45.935-04:002014-06-16T13:01:45.935-04:00WOW!!!! I think the accomplishment of doing it back-to-back is certainly enough to be a huge success on this trek. If you didn't have to wait until midnight to summit Jackson, you could have shaved some more time off there too. Also, I wonder if you had gone the other way, if you could have made up some time in the southern prezi's at the end. Although, finishing in the north is more rewarding for sure! Again, awesome job!

KarlKarlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08872637235573785618noreply@blogger.com
